Cuyahoga River Restoration

(formerly Cuyahoga River Community Planning)

Restoring, revitalizing and protecting the Cuyahoga River watershed and nearshore Lake Erie

YELLOW CREEK drains 31 square miles at the southwest edge of the Cuyahoga River watershed, from 7 communities in Summit and Medina Counties, including Akron, Bath Township, Cuyahoga Falls, Copley Township, Fairlawn, Richfield Township, Richfield Village, Granger Township and Sharon Township.

It is one of the healthiest tributaries in the watershed, though it contributes a disproportionate share of sediment to the river as its greenspaces give way to development
